Ground Support Equipment Technician

Position Overview: As a key member of our team, the Ground Support Equipment Technician will report directly to the Transport and Ground Equipment Manager. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective maintenance and repair of all ground support equipment.
Location: While the primary work location will be at our operational bases, the technician must possess the flexibility to travel and work at various locations as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections, repairs, and servicing in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Identify and document any defects, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with main contractors to ensure compliance with local and industry regulations, including CAP642 and LOLER.
- Maintain the operational efficiency of all equipment to meet business needs.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications and experience in electromechanical repairs and servicing of ground support equipment, light commercial vehicles, and plant machinery. A solid understanding of current health and safety practices is essential.
Skills: We are seeking an individual who demonstrates a strong commitment to safety and quality. The ability to work independently, along with excellent planning and organizational skills, is crucial. Effective communication skills are also necessary to relay information as required.
Contract Details: This position offers a permanent contract with a rolling shift pattern of 4 on, 4 off, with some flexibility needed to accommodate business demands. Roster schedules will be provided 4 weeks in advance.
