Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development and Marketing Manager to contribute to the implementation of strategic business growth initiatives. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional in business development to explore new avenues and drive expansion through innovative approaches.

The BDM position forms an integral part of Marsh McLennan's global marketing team. Working closely with colleagues from the Business Development and Marketing department, key stakeholders, and consultants, the BDM will focus on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and enhancing the firm's market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deepen understanding of client industries to pinpoint emerging trends and business prospects.
  • Utilize various channels for lead generation, including online research, social media, and networking events.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of growth strategies to drive revenue.
  • Evaluate incoming leads to uncover growth potential.
  • Collaborate with CRM team to align segments with business development goals.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives.
  • Create and oversee production of marketing materials and resources.
  • Organize and manage marketing events and client engagements.
  • Build strong relationships with consultants to facilitate business objectives.
  • Pursue speaking and writing opportunities for consultants.
  • Drive best marketing practices across all initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication skills with a focus on writing, proofreading, and verbal presentation.
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools such as CRM, SEO, SEM, and social media platforms.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and report insights effectively.
  • Direct experience in B2B business development.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and AI in business development contexts.
  • Degree in business, marketing, economics, or related fields; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6-10 years of relevant marketing experience.
  • Proficiency in English with fluency in other languages as a plus.
  • Ability to manage projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management abilities and a self-motivated approach to work.
  • Experience collaborating within an international team setting.
  • Capacity to grasp the role of economic analysis in business and legal issues.
  • Proven track record of translating technical concepts into accessible content.
  • Skills to engage effectively with various stakeholders and vendors.
  • Positive, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
