The Opportunity/Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our team in a leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Development - Provide daily leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the manufacturing teams to create a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Performance Management - Accountable for the creation, monitoring, and delivery of all manufacturing KPIs across the site.
  • Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis - Lead and develop the team through rigorous root cause analysis, implementing robust corrective and preventative actions.
  • Continuous Improvement - Promote a culture of world-class basics, achieved through disciplined adherence to 5S principles. Lead weekly Gemba walk activity, coaching employees on 5S, standard work, visual management, continuous improvement, flow, problem-solving, and other lean methods, techniques, and processes.
  • Planning and Cost Control - Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges, maintaining a laser focus on cost control.
  • Employee Development - Conduct disciplinary and grievance meetings as required, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience of managing large teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • A solid understanding of engineering principles, project management, lean six sigma fundamentals, and financial acumen.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating and monitoring a suite of KPIs to improve business operational results.
  • Experience of building and developing an effective team through coaching and mentoring.
