About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced underwriter to join our team at Stellar Select Limited. We are seeking a skilled professional to refine their skills within a mortgage lending environment.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a brokerage or packaging setting, or as a seasoned residential or 2nd charge underwriter from a lending institution. They will be eager to grow into leadership roles and have a strong understanding of underwriting guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter and update borrower data on our lending platform.
  • Ensure all aspects of the loans are recorded accurately on our CRM and meet underwriting guidelines.
  • Assess mortgage applications to ensure all aspects of our underwriting criteria are met.
  • Ensure all underwriting is in line with Company policy and within regulation.
  • Ensure that all cases are underwritten within our group's risk appetite.
Requirements
  • Experience gained in residential or second-charge mortgage packaging or underwriting.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
