Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in the HV, Energy and Renewable Sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and supporting all civil and electrical elements from tender to completion of works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review tender documents and electrical requirements to develop an energy and utilities tender package for potential sub-contractors.
  • Assist the commercial department in selecting a preferred subcontractor by reviewing tender responses from a technical viewpoint.
  • Liaise with electrical designers and civil designers to ensure civil designs meet requirements.
  • Manage interface with clients and client processes in respect to civil design and works.
  • Review and quality control of designs prior to issuance to clients.
  • Manage company input to client and/or utility design review process with respect to civil designs.
  • Work with project PM and QS to prepare subcontract packages.
  • Project manage civil subcontractor in conjunction with project PM.
  • Liaise with electrical design team and electrical construction team to ensure correctness of civil installation and successful handover to electrical construction and to the end client.
  • Capture and notify project QS of all variations in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with civil subcontractor on variations and associated design/redesign works.
  • Ensure compliance with client management systems as set out in contract documentation.
  • Manage civil sub consultants and contractors.
  • Manage projects and deliver them to quality, safety, and on time.
  • Manage, assess, and develop teams and assigned individuals.
Requirements:
  • Third-level degree in Civil/Energy or Renewable Engineering.
  • 5+ years' experience working as a Civil Engineer in a Tier 1 or 2 main contractor.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in setting out, design coordination, and Auto Cad.
  • Ability to prioritize workload according to deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
  • Enjoy working as part of a high-performing team.
  • Willing to travel.
