We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Volunteer Community Lead to join our team at Switchboard. Key Responsibilities- Deliver a range of in-person and online engagement events throughout the year to foster a sense of community among volunteers.
- Manage the Pride activations for 2025 and onwards, ensuring a seamless and impactful experience for volunteers and the wider community.
- Oversee Switchboard's programme of volunteer celebrations, highlighting the achievements and contributions of our volunteers.
- Develop and implement wellbeing initiatives to support the mental health and wellbeing of our volunteers.
- Collaborate with key volunteer-led operational teams to ensure a cohesive and effective volunteer experience.
- Extensive experience of organising and producing social and professional events of all shapes and sizes.
- Strong exposure to EDI initiatives and a natural interest in promoting wellbeing in the workplace.
- Outstanding people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with volunteers and stakeholders.
- A broad understanding of the issues and challenges faced by people from the LGBTQIA+ community, and the ability to appreciate the impact on our volunteers.
- Ability to manage all in-person events, with some locational flexibility required.
