Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at WEBRECRUIT. As a key member of our Wellbeing team, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centered care and support to visually impaired ex-service people.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Wellbeing team in planning and delivering care and support services to visually impaired ex-service people.
- Assist with personal care needs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and dignity are maintained.
- Organize medication for visually impaired ex-service people and support them in experiencing high-quality and safe dining experiences.
- Complete accurate and detailed documentation, including risk assessments, observations, care plans, and handover notes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of Health and Safety protocols and procedures.
- Utilize basic IT skills to support care delivery and documentation.
- Provide empathetic support to visually impaired ex-service people and colleagues alike.
Requirements
- NVQ in Health and Social Care level 2 (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards this qualification.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety protocols and procedures.
- Basic IT skills.
- Empathetic manner and ability to work effectively with colleagues and visually impaired ex-service people.
Working Arrangements
This is a shift-based role covering 37.5 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and rotational night duty. Weekly shifts will be made up of 2 long days of 7.30am – 8.30pm, plus either 2 early shifts of 7.30am – 2.15pm or 2 late shifts of 1.15pm – 8.30pm. Colleagues will be expected to work 1 rotation of nights per year, consisting of 4 weeks of 8.15pm – 7.45am.
