About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Engineer to join our team at EDF UK. As a key member of our Technical Directorate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless collaboration between construction contractors and designers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and respond to modifications raised by site contractors, ensuring alignment with designer justifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Construction Team on-site to resolve issues promptly.
  • Advocate for design decisions that align with project strategies, working closely with the technical team to find effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with Nuclear Safety and Environmental Regulation requirements through thorough oversight.
  • Coordinate with external organisations to provide necessary support.
  • Evaluate technical risks and implement mitigation strategies accordingly.
  • Foster strong relationships with EDF EPR Engineering (Responsible Designer) and EDF Nuclear Services.
  • Report directly to an Engineering Lead on operational matters.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience in HVAC design, installation, and/or commissioning.
  • Demonstrated application of multi-disciplinary technical expertise within the nuclear industry.
  • Experience in the construction or installation industry with a strong commitment to Health & Safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in influencing diverse stakeholders, particularly those within a site environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously, taking proactive measures to report and escalate pertinent issues.
