Job Summary
Kingston University is seeking a highly skilled Capital Projects Manager to lead its successful capital projects team. As a senior member of the Estates and Sustainability team, this role plays a crucial part in contributing towards the delivery of strategies, policies, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project management team in delivery, ensuring that the agenda is fully integrated into the management of the university's property and estates operations.
- Work collectively with all Estates and Sustainability colleagues on matters of common interest concerning the estate and operational operations.
- Develop and oversee property and managing space, energy, biodiversity, and estate-related health and safety matters.
- Implement sustainable practice through the choice of methods, materials, and technology.
Requirements
- Strong project management, design, and financial management capabilities.
- Ability to lead the team to ensure effective delivery of projects in line with agreed budgets, timescales, and design quality.
- Experience in estate development and management.
- Knowledge of sustainable practice and energy efficiency.
About the Role
The Estates and Sustainability function is responsible for delivering continual improvements to the University's estate and enhancing the estate and facilities experience for students and staff. Our staff achieve this through developing and overseeing our property and managing space, energy, biodiversity, and estate-related health and safety matters.
We aim to achieve the highest practicable standards of energy efficiency throughout the University's estate and facilitate the University strategy relating to student residential and recreational provision.
