Job Description

This is an international law firm with a diversified business practice. The firm is one of the largest grossing law firms in the US and globally, and its lawyers represent a wide range of commercial, industrial, and financial enterprises, both publicly and privately held.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with US offices to respond to and resolve billing and collection issues.
  2. Meet with US Accounting Managers on a weekly basis on initiatives.
  3. Support Firm-wide billing and collection projects such as the Firm-wide grid effort.
  4. Financial Reporting
  • Present financial summaries at a granular level of each office's inventory to senior US Management, Practice Group Directors, and Practice Group Leaders.
  • Develop methods, procedures, and policies to enhance the financial performance of international offices in collaboration with the US.
Billing and Collection Management
  • Lead billing and collection management software deployment and training.
  • Analyze, maintain, and improve individual office performance for billing, collection, and inventory management.
Financial Analysis
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of all significant balances at Partner and office level to report on and analyze the effects on the short and long-term financial goals of each office.
  • Present office performance reports, including deadlines and statuses, to assigned International Office Heads.
Communication
  • Notify Partners regarding delinquent accounts and respond as directed.
  • Present office financial summaries to Accounting Managers in the international offices in monthly meetings to manage and improve metrics in each office.

Candidate Profile

  1. 5 years' revenue management experience in a law firm.
  2. Advanced knowledge of standard billing practices and procedures.
  3. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  4. Exposure to and knowledge of AML protocols.
