Position Overview

We are pleased to announce a rewarding opportunity within our Haematology day unit at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board for a Certified Oncology Nurse. We seek a committed, passionate, and proactive professional with a keen interest in Haematology and Cancer care, eager to contribute to our dedicated team. Our haematology department encompasses day case units across multiple sites, providing comprehensive care to our patients.

The primary location for this role will be the Haematology day unit, with the requirement to provide support to the Medical day case Haematology unit as needed.

If you possess a strong motivation, expertise, and exceptional interpersonal skills, we would be delighted to consider your application.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) to patients diagnosed with Haematological cancers, with all necessary training provided.
  • Deliver supplementary treatments for Haematology patients, including the administration of blood products.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a close-knit team environment.

Proficiency in the Welsh language is preferred for this position; however, applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.
