About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic team in Palliative Care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with complex palliative care needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of palliative care patients in secondary care, Monday to Friday 9-5pm and on a rotational cover for weekends.
  • Promote effective working links with both NHS and voluntary sectors to ensure a coordinated specialist service to patients with complex palliative care needs.
  • Support the Directorate in achieving the delivery of the objectives specified in the Welsh Government Palliative and End of Life Care quality statement.
Requirements
  • Registered nurse with a first level degree.
  • Teaching qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Qualification in palliative care/oncology or demonstrable evidence of nursing experience with palliative/oncology patients.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
