About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Legal Assistant to join our busy Housing Litigation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our lawyers, ensuring the smooth delivery of cost-effective and timely outcomes for our social housing clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct disrepair files from letter of claim until assessment of liability, instructing experts, providing disclosure, and liaising with clients, other parties, and supervising lawyers.
  • Prepare statements of costs to file and serve before hearings.
  • Complete anti-social behaviour and access possession and injunction court papers from precedents.
  • Assist with disclosure and inspection of documents on issued cases.
  • Prepare electronic trial bundles or enclosures for counsel, supported by our secretarial and office services assistant team.
  • Keep client management reports updated.
About the Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who demonstrates an interest in and enthusiasm for litigation, has strong written English skills, excellent IT skills, and a solutions-based mindset. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to cope well with working to multiple deadlines.
