About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cardiac nurse to take on a senior role and lead our experienced cardiac team. You will be responsible for supporting and leading the team to ensure our patients receive the highest levels of care. Every day is different in this role, and you will work across various areas of the hospital, including cardiology pre-assessment, cardiac catheter lab, cardiac outpatients, theatres, and supporting the wards with cardiac patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and lead the cardiac team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Work across various areas of the hospital, including cardiology pre-assessment, cardiac catheter lab, and cardiac outpatients
  • Assist with implantation of IABP, TAVI, and complex devices
  • Support the non-invasive cardiology services within the Outpatient Department
  • Provide cardiology support to ward and critical care patients
  • Prepare operating Hybrid theatre/anaesthetic room/outpatient cardiology suite for procedure
  • Run a cardiology list without supervision and supervise/mentor junior staff
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced cardiac nurse with a strong background in cardiology, ideally with previous senior experience. You will need to be current NMC registered with no restrictions on practice and have at least 3 years' experience within a cardiac catheter lab scrubbing for routine and complex cardiology procedures. ALS training is also essential.
