Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker / Team Leader to join our team at Autonomy Care Limited. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our support workers, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Guidance
- Provide leadership and guidance to support workers to ensure that they are equipped to provide high-quality care and support.
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our residents.
- Care Delivery
- Deliver care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Support residents with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and household chores.
- Team Management
- Supervise and mentor support workers to ensure that they are meeting the needs of our residents.
- Conduct regular supervisions and performance reviews to ensure that support workers are meeting the required standards.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that their needs are met.
- Collaborate with other members of the care team to ensure that our residents receive comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
- Qualifications
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (to be achieved).
- Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a care setting, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of legislation and policies related to care of vulnerable adults.
