Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in the West Midlands. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with Learning Disabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support to individuals with Learning Disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Enable individuals to access community-based services and facilities, enhancing their quality of life.
  • Assist with personal care, including skin care, bathing, and dressing, ensuring the individual's dignity and comfort.
  • Support individuals with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry, promoting their independence.
  • Collaborate with external professional groups, such as GPs and Social Services, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records of work done, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
  • Recent experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities, demonstrating your ability to provide high-quality care.
  • Comfortable providing personal and intimate care, with a caring and empathetic approach.
  • Able to undertake moving and handling of individuals, following training and guidance.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering person-centered care.
  • Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
