Main Responsibilities

As a Lead Therapist, you will be responsible for leading the specialist therapy team in the management, development, and promotion of service-based initiatives and activities.

You will have an active complex caseload of patients with specialist palliative care needs and provide advanced expert therapy assessments and interventions.

You will also have active involvement in the hospice education programme to promote person-centred care and use specialist knowledge to assess and prescribe appropriate equipment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Team at Acorns Children's Hospice.

As a Lead Therapist, you will be working with a team of experienced therapists to provide high-quality care to children and their families.

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining an active complex caseload of patients with specialist palliative care needs.

Key Requirements
  • HCPC Registered physiotherapist or occupational therapist
  • Previous experience of palliative care
  • Experience of working with and managing long-term conditions, including complex neurological and respiratory patients
  • Specialist knowledge of a range of treatment approaches
