About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Nurse to join our Respiratory Ward team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based clinical care to patients with respiratory conditions, including those requiring interventions such as Bi-Pap and Optiflow.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care, including physiotherapy and other specialist services.
  • Act as a role model, communicating effectively with patients, carers, and staff to ensure excellent patient experience.
  • Take responsibility for delegated patients and their care needs, working closely with colleagues to provide comprehensive support.
  • Continuously develop your own practice, staying up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and research.

Person Specification

  • NMC registration
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience in a respiratory ward or similar setting
  • Evidence of having championed diversity and equalities in previous roles
