About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team at BT Group. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical direction for the build, delivery, and maintenance of world-class secure platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the design, build, deployment, and support of customer-facing systems.
- Employ industry-leading techniques and best practices to address customer challenges.
- Work within existing monitoring, observability, and security frameworks to meet customer requirements.
Requirements
- Expertise in RHEL and shell scripting.
- Experience with monitoring tools integration, including SNMP, MiB gathering, and syslog.
- Ability to use North Bound Interface (NBI) and manipulate data in and out of the application.
- Experience with data collection and filtering, including awk and grep.
- Experience with installation and integration of large-scale network management applications on RHEL.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of containerization, VM, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Alcatel or Nokia management applications.
- Windows application integration.
- Infrastructure skills, including build, power, and patching.
- SQL and Oracle database skills.
