Investment Actuary Trainee

Oliver James is partnering with a leading group of actuaries and consultants to find a talented Trainee Actuary to join their Investment Services team in Guernsey.

About the Role

We are seeking a recent graduate or someone with recent experience in investments, preferably within a consultancy, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mathematical models and be studying towards or have a desire to study towards IFoA exams (CFA will also be considered).

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality investment performance analysis and reports
  • Assist with the review and implementation of investment options
  • Use mathematical models to project and compare investment outcomes for different investment strategies
Requirements
  • Recent experience in investments, preferably within a consultancy
  • Studying towards or desire to study towards IFoA exams (CFA will also be considered)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
