Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated graduate engineer to join our team at Perega (formerly Thomasons Limited). As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in assisting senior staff with design work on various projects and tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and coordinate work as directed by senior staff, ensuring tasks are delivered as briefed.
  • Assist with the preparation of sketch plans, working drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Contribute to planning site investigation works and assist with preparing feasibility studies.
  • Provide design advice and assist with the development and use of computer-based systems to improve efficiency.
  • Undertake site inspections and attend site meetings, ensuring effective communication with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Produce designs, assessments, and calculations in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, design team members, and third parties to maintain a positive client relationship.
  • Understand and adhere to existing working practices, methods, and procedures.
  • Adopt 'best practice' and work within given programme and cost constraints.
  • Proactively develop your skills and knowledge to contribute to the company's growth and success.
Requirements
  • University degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • Good understanding of engineering principles and construction procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within and across teams.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce accurate and clear sketches.
  • Knowledge of design software, including AutoCAD, and its limitations.
  • Ability to understand engineering concepts and CDM regulations.
