Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with experience in a manufacturing setting?

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a reputable manufacturer known for its commitment to quality. This organization is experiencing significant growth and has plans for further investment in its operations.

The ideal candidate will be a mechanically focused maintenance engineer, multi-skilled technician, or mechanical fitter with a background in a manufacturing environment. A solid understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics is essential. Candidates should ideally be apprentice trained or possess equivalent qualifications.

In this role, you will report to the maintenance supervisor and will be tasked with both reactive and planned maintenance using a CMMS system. You will engage with a variety of production and process machinery within a plastics manufacturing facility. Your mechanical responsibilities will include working on hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, drives, rivets, belts, and pumps. Additionally, you will participate in strip down and rebuild activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and facilities maintenance as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer, mechanical fitter, or mechanical technician
  • Apprentice trained or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
