Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and design facade solutions for a variety of building projects, ensuring aesthetic appeal, functionality, and compliance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate facade designs seamlessly with overall building plans.
- Prepare detailed drawings, 3D models, and specifications for facade systems using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Rhino.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements, provide technical support, and ensure quality control during the construction phase.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies in facade design.
- Prepare and present design proposals to clients, ensuring their vision and requirements are met.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets, timelines, and feasibility studies.
- Ensure all designs adhere to health and safety regulations and sustainability standards.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in facade design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of building physics, materials science, and structural engineering principles as they relate to facades.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics and design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of local building regulations and standards in the UK.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and green building certifications.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., RIBA, CIBSE).
- Familiarity with parametric design tools such as Grasshopper.
