About the Role
Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our team as a Project Lead. As a key member of our ecological consultancy team, you will be responsible for leading and managing ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact studies for various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact studies for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, planning policies, and environmental standards.
- Field Work: Conduct and oversee field surveys, including protected species surveys, habitat assessments, and ecological monitoring, to gather data and inform project decisions.
- Writing Reports: Prepare detailed ecological reports, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies to communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
- Client Liaison: Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on ecological issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior ecologists, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment, and contributing to the development of team members.
- Compliance: Ensure projects comply with relevant legislation, planning policies, and environmental standards, and identify opportunities for improvement.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Ecologist who can lead and manage ecological projects, and provide expert advice and guidance to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecological consultancy, excellent communication and project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
