Pharmacovigilance and Scientific Information Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Pharmacovigilance (PV) and Scientific Information Manager to lead on strategy development and work as the UK national point of contact for all PV related issues.

About the Role:

This is a hybrid role with up to two days remote work available, requiring flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement PV strategies to ensure compliance with UK regulations and industry best practices.
  • Manage and mentor a small team to ensure the highest levels of quality and excellence in PV and scientific information management.
  • Represent the company with external stakeholders, including the MHRA, healthcare professionals, and industry bodies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in PV and scientific information management, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and success.

Requirements:

  • Expertise: A life science degree or qualification as a Health Professional, with 5-10 years of experience in pharmacovigilance.
  • Leadership Skills: Previous line management experience and the ability to inspire and develop your team.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: A thorough understanding of UK PV regulations, GvP, and industry best practices.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to represent the company with external stakeholders, including the MHRA, healthcare professionals, and industry bodies.
