About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Gather & Gather. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and restaurant, creating daily menus, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that meet client and customer expectations, taking into account seasonal ingredients and local sourcing.
  • Financial Management: Manage kitchen finances, including budgeting, cost control, and menu pricing, to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Food Preparation: Oversee the preparation of food to the highest standard, minimizing waste and ensuring that all dishes are presented to a high standard.
  • Stock Management: Conduct weekly and monthly stock takes, coordinate stock ordering, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with company and statutory health, hygiene, and safety standards, including COSHH and HACCP.
  • Team Management: Lead, coach, and develop the kitchen team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with clients and customers, seeking feedback to improve the food and service offering.
  • Professional Image: Maintain a professional and friendly image, representing Gather & Gather in a positive light.
