This division encompasses renowned brands such as Haynes, Clymer, and Chilton, and operates globally with a workforce of 4,000 across 18 countries, generating a turnover of €550 million.

Role Summary

The E-commerce Customer Acquisition Strategist will spearhead initiatives to attract customers through digital channels where potential DIY enthusiasts are likely to discover, research, and purchase vehicle-specific DIY solutions. The focus will primarily be on organic strategies, while also enhancing paid channels as necessary.

  • Customer acquisition cost management
  • Return on investment (ROI)
  • Content quality metrics (organic visibility, SERP rankings, click-through rates, user engagement)

Position Responsibilities

The E-commerce Customer Acquisition Strategist is a strategic and results-oriented professional responsible for enhancing customer consideration for DIY solutions across established and emerging markets. This role emphasizes the implementation of targeted, data-driven organic customer acquisition strategies to develop a robust marketing and sales funnel for our digital platforms.

Key Duties Include:

  • Developing a comprehensive customer sales funnel
  • Executing on-page and off-page SEO strategies
  • Creating and promoting a content strategy that aligns with user intent
  • Sourcing diverse content formats and collaborating with DIY experts
  • Designing multi-channel marketing and sales assets
  • Conducting customer segmentation and deriving insights
  • Crafting effective communications and messaging

Data Analysis and Reporting

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of customer acquisition campaigns, providing insights and regular reports to inform strategic decisions.

Collaborative Efforts

Work closely with internal and external teams, including editorial, sales, and product management, to ensure alignment of customer acquisition strategies with sales objectives and product launches.

Testing and Optimization

Conduct A/B testing and continuously optimize marketing campaigns to enhance conversion rates and ROI, implementing industry best practices for ongoing improvement.

Budget Management

Effectively manage the customer acquisition budget to maximize ROI and achieve targets, ensuring efficient resource allocation across marketing channels.

Market Research and Segmentation

Conduct thorough market research to identify and understand target audiences, tailoring marketing messages to resonate with specific segments.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is advantageous. Proven experience in customer acquisition, digital content marketing, or SEO-focused performance marketing roles is essential. A strong grasp of various content-led channels and tactics for lead generation is necessary, along with proficiency in digital marketing tools.
