Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Biased)

Shifts: 12-hour shifts, days and nights, 4-week rota (fourth week off)

Our client, a leading food manufacturer, values hard work, teamwork, and developing people. They are part of a global group with multiple sites in the UK and are seeking an electrically biased shift engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of high-speed production and packaging machinery
  • Work on control panels, HMIs, PLCs, and SCADA systems
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding, problem solving, and repairs
  • Continuous improvement projects
  • Upkeep and alteration of electrical and mechanical drawings

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 electrical engineering or maintenance minimum
  • Strong electrical and mechanical problem-solving skills
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing industry - food, FMCG, packaging, etc.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, automation, and control systems, HMIs
  • 17th or 18th Edition Electrical
  • Able to read and follow electrical schematic drawings
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene beneficial
