As an Operations Controller, you will play a pivotal role in the efficiency of our warehouse operations by managing daily tasks and collaborating with various teams to maintain workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the outbound schedule to guarantee timely collections and deliveries.
- Providing clear instructions to staff to facilitate smooth inbound and outbound processes.
- Ensuring all documentation for outbound shipments is accurate and complete.
- Acting as the primary contact for drivers upon their arrival.
- Reporting any operational issues to the Shift Manager promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Contributing actively to the operations team by proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Maintaining effective communication with transport providers to prevent delays.
- Preparing comprehensive handovers for the subsequent shift, highlighting ongoing issues and operational status.
Qualifications:
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks based on scheduling and resource availability.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with the capability to work independently.
- In-depth knowledge of on-site operational systems.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with Autostore and RF technology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ambition for career progression.
- Flexibility in work approach and shift patterns to cover for absences.
- Professional demeanor towards customers and third-party hauliers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
