Job Title: KS1 Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join our team at Wayman Education. As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to KS1 students and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to KS1 students, using creativity and innovation to keep the students engaged.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing formal and informal feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan, prepare and participate in school events, including extracurricular activities.
  • Establish and maintain open and positive communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Utilise a student-centered approach to teaching, encouraging independent thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Incorporate inclusive practices into teaching approaches, recognising the diverse needs of students.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, including attendance records and student data, in line with the school's policies.
Requirements:
  • QTS, PGCE and strong academic record
  • Experience teaching key stage 1 students.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly organised and able to manage competing demands effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Passionate about teaching and creating a positive learning environment.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this KS1 position will be paid to scale on a permanent contract to scale MPS/UPS.
