About the Position

This role involves the prompt collection and delivery of customer and courtesy vehicles, ensuring that customers are informed about delivery schedules and any potential delays. Responsibilities include conducting vehicle inspections and collecting excess payments, as well as clearly explaining repair processes to customers. Maintaining a professional demeanor while providing exceptional customer service is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the collection and delivery of customer vehicles as per schedule, completing all necessary documentation regarding claims and any unrelated damages, while ensuring a professional and efficient customer experience.
  • Operate vehicles safely and legally, considering weather and traffic conditions, and report any vehicle faults immediately.
  • Verify that all paperwork is accurate during vehicle transfers.
  • Prepare courtesy vehicles for customer collection, ensuring they meet high cleanliness standards to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Promptly report any accidents or incidents to the Bodyshop Manager.
  • Handle the collection of payments and receipts, ensuring adherence to financial protocols upon returning to the office.
  • Gather all required customer documentation from reception, inspecting courtesy vehicles for damage and cleanliness prior to delivery.
  • Communicate any damage or cleanliness concerns with the reception team.
  • Inform customers and reception staff of any imminent delays.
  • Complete all customer paperwork in the presence of the customer, documenting vehicle details for both courtesy and customer vehicles, confirming claim-related and pre-existing damages.
  • Adhere to all Housekeeping and Health and Safety regulations relevant to your role and work environment, including regulations regarding driving under the influence of medications, and handling chemicals and cleaning agents.
  • Ensure that vehicles meet safety standards when returned to customers, or that any faults have been documented on the job card.
  • Complete necessary office paperwork, including fuel and driver logs.

Skills and Experience

  • Valid driving license with the appropriate classification for the role.
  • Experience in logistics.
  • Knowledge of vehicle appraisal processes.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude towards completing tasks.
  • Effective time management for each booking is crucial.
