Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Matchtech. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical support to our dedicated team of facility maintenance and project engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, diagnose, and repair electrical installations, plant, and equipment in accordance with current regulations and guidance.
  • Record works carried out, including updating the computerised maintenance management system as required.
  • Carry out completion of IEE installation inspections, tests, and surveys, including associated reports.
  • Compile full Bill of Materials for the ordering of installation materials and spare parts.
  • Liaise and coordinate suppliers to ensure all contractor works are scheduled and delivered as advised by the Facilities Manager.
  • Provide and update detailed schematics for all new installations/modifications.
  • Instruct others when required on aspects of own work and provide advice, instruction, and training to Apprentices/Trainees as needed.
Requirements
  • Industrial/commercial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Ability to professionally manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to diagnose and remedy electrical faults and install new electrical work to specification.
  • A knowledge of health and safety issues specific to electrical works.
  • Able to work alone as well as part of a team.
  • Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Self-motivated and able to work using own initiative.
  • Great interpersonal and written communication skills, able to communicate at all levels within the business.
Working Environment

This role is based in a fast-paced facilities environment, and you will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces. You will be part of a dedicated team, working closely with the Facilities Manager and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
