About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Client Relationship Manager to join our team at Aztec Group. As a key member of our Private Credit business, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of fund structures and delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the service delivery for the private equity business, working closely with the Private Credit Jersey leadership team
- Maintain and build client relationships, ensuring that service delivery meets agreed service levels
- Develop and enhance relationships with client advisors, intermediaries, and other introducers of work
- Work closely with other team members to strengthen cross-jurisdictional relationships with colleagues and mutual clients
- Act as a mentor to client relationship managers, supervising and assisting in the training and development of staff
- Manage the appraisal process for direct reports
- Act as a higher authority on day-to-day queries and as an 'A' level 4-eyes signatory on administration matters
- Assist with the establishment and maintenance of fund and corporate structures in accordance with group procedures
- Act as a director or alternate director of client companies and funds if required
- Manage client payments and attend quarterly jurisdictional, management, and product meetings
- Contribute to business-wide improvements in policies and procedures
- Coordinate billing of team clients, analyzing time spent and monitoring debtors
- Review WIP incurred and utilize across teams to identify extra billing opportunities
- Liaise with the financial reporting team to ensure timely and efficient administration of clients' periodic and statutory financial statements
- Attend and lead committee, board, and shareholder meetings
- Ensure Operational Procedures Manuals and checklist templates are reviewed and completed on a timely basis
- Participate in new client proposals/pitches and manage the integration of new clients into group procedures
- Participate in client fee negotiations
Requirements
- Considerable practical fund administration experience, supported by a relevant professional qualification (ICSA Diploma level, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Sound technical financial services knowledge, to be supported through the Aztec Academy
- Experience in a similar role, either in-house or at an outsourced service provider
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients, and business contacts
- Strong people management experience and experience in leading teams
- Team leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others
- Solution-orientated and high level of integrity and dependability
- Effective communicator in both written and oral communication formats
- Experience and track record of day-to-day management and supervision of a team
- Evidence of full responsibility for a major client relationship(s)
- An understanding of private equity asset class would be an advantage but not essential
