Financial Accountant Opportunity

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join our client's team based in Lisburn. As a key member of the accounting team, you will contribute to the strategic financial planning and decision-making processes that drive the company's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production of statutory accounts for Society and subsidiary companies.
  • Preparation of the audit file, including lead schedules.
  • Preparation of year-end journals.
  • Ability to take Trial Balance to Final Accounts.
  • Preparation of management reports for Society and subsidiary companies.
  • Variance analysis, investigation, and reporting.
  • Produce activity-based costing reports for each event.
  • Reconciliation of control accounts to include bank accounts, fixed assets, purchase ledger, sales ledger, inter-company control accounts, and credit cards.
  • Implementation of financial systems and budgetary control.
  • Administer the payroll function, including HMRC liabilities and returns.
Requirements:
  • Qualified/Professional qualification in accounting.
  • Experience in a busy accounting team.
  • Financial reporting experience.
  • Excellent IT skills, including strong MS Excel.
  • Experience with Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll.
