Part-Qualified Accountant - Public Sector

Reed Accountancy is partnering with a reputable organisation in Belfast City Centre to appoint an experienced Part-Qualified Accountant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management
    • Manage financial resources, including budgeting and cash flow management.
    • Prepare consolidated financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Government Accounting standards.
    • Assist in the preparation of Annual Accounts, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Claim Submissions and Project Management
    • Prepare and submit claims to the external project controller, providing necessary audit documentation.
    • Ensure the organisation meets its financial management and reporting commitments.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Contribute to timely financial month-end processes, including preparation of financial reporting packs for key stakeholders.
    • Manage budgets, analysing variances and preparing reports for senior management.
  • Professional Development and Qualifications
    • The successful candidate will hold a recognised accounting qualification, such as:
      • The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
      • Chartered Accountants Ireland
      • The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland
      • The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales
      • The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
      • The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy
      • The Institute of Certified Public Accounts in Ireland; or equivalent

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide advice and guidance to project partners.
