About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary School SEND Teacher to join our team at Polaris Community. As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to small groups of students, adapting to their individual needs and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with SEND.
  • Contribute to the development of a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in SEND education.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant subject area.
  • Experience in teaching students with special educational needs, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies for students with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
