Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Crawley. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a child with an autism diagnosis in a Reception class, supporting their learning and development in a fulfilling and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a child with an autism diagnosis in a Reception class
  • Work with the class teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Develop a positive relationship with the child and respond to their needs
  • Assist the whole class in integrating and participating in class activities
  • Simplify tasks to ensure accessibility
  • Support the child during lunchtimes
Candidate Requirements:
  • Recent experience working with children
  • Experience in a primary school setting is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Experience with children with SEND is a plus but not required
  • Ability to use initiative and proactively handle tasks
