Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team to provide outstanding care and education to all children
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead when necessary, overseeing the daily operations of the nursery and ensuring compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet the needs of each child
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive, safe, and enjoyable working environment
- Promote the nursery to current and prospective parents to enhance retention and occupancy
- Ensure the nursery's financial success by managing expenditures in line with staffing and budgetary targets
- Engage with local authorities to understand community offerings and support best practices within the nursery
Qualifications Required:
- Full and Relevant Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification (essential)
- Prior experience in an Early Years setting, preferably in a leadership role
- Confident decision-maker with experience in providing support and guidance to team members
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and relevant legislative requirements
- Ability to build trust and effective working relationships with colleagues and parents
- Proficient in utilizing various communication techniques with both children and adults
