Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team to provide outstanding care and education to all children
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead when necessary, overseeing the daily operations of the nursery and ensuring compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet the needs of each child
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive, safe, and enjoyable working environment
  • Promote the nursery to current and prospective parents to enhance retention and occupancy

Qualifications Required:

  • Full and Relevant Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Prior experience in an Early Years setting, preferably in a leadership role
  • Confident decision-maker with experience in providing support and guidance to team members
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and relevant legislative requirements
  • Ability to build trust and effective working relationships with colleagues and parents
  • Proficient in utilizing various communication techniques with both children and adults
