What you'll do

In this pivotal role, you will drive positive outcomes for the organization through your enthusiasm, purpose, and resolve. Throughout the two-year programme, you will rotate through various procurement and supplier management functions, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the field. Your duties will involve assisting procurement leaders and senior buyers in implementing sourcing strategies, performing research and analysis within your designated category, and aiding in the management of key supplier relationships. You will collaborate across departments, ensuring alignment with Sainsbury's Procurement and Supplier Management Policy. Your ability to prioritize effectively, embrace a growth mindset, cultivate relationships with stakeholders, and think innovatively will be crucial to your success. Ultimately, your efforts will support the achievement of business goals and reinforce the significance of integrity and Sainsbury's values in all your endeavors.

Proven experience in project management and balancing multiple priorities with exceptional organizational skills A genuine interest in Procurement and Supplier management, with aspirations to develop a career in this field, alongside an understanding of broader business operations Demonstrable experience in data analysis, translating data into insights to comprehend trends and commercial implications Strong verbal and written communication skills, confidently engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders, simplifying complex issues Experience in teamwork, seizing opportunities to connect with others and foster trusted relationships
