Aircraft Engineering Services, a leading provider of engineering services to Ryanair UK, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Finance Administrator / Apprentice to assist our team with day-to-day accounting procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Excel and be quick to learn. As a business, we provide on-the-job training and opportunities for growth and development.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Reconciling invoices and ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Liaising with vendors and contractors to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintaining efficient recording of spreadsheets and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Identifying and reconciling accounts discrepancies.
  • Participating in payroll processes and ensuring timely payment.
  • Reporting on finance projections and providing insights for business growth.
  • Reconciling business bank statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
  • Onboarding new starters and providing a smooth transition into the team.

Requirements:

  • Hardworking and keen to learn with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time-management and organization skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential documents and information.
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures and a willingness to learn.
  • Previous experience as a Finance Administrator, Finance Assistant, or in a similar role is desirable.
  • Experience with accounting software and MS Excel is essential.
