Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work under supervision in a range of hospital optometry and ophthalmology clinics, including specialist medical contact lenses, low vision assessment, adult refraction, and paediatric refraction and dispensing.
As a Pre-registration Optometrist, you will be responsible for working towards independent practice, with minimal supervision, and will have the opportunity to observe and learn from experienced optometrists and ophthalmologists.
Person Specification
We are looking for an individual who is working towards an Optometry BSc (hons) degree and is registered with the General Optical Council as a student optometrist. Desirable qualifications include a potential for a 2:1 Optometry BSc (hons) degree and relevant experience working in a healthcare clinical environment.
