Educational Support Assistant

Location: Abergavenny.

Pay: From £77.40 per day.

Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm.

Overview: Teaching Personnel is seeking an Educational Support Assistant to join a dedicated team within a Secondary School in Abergavenny. Our institution holds high standards for all learners, and we are devoted to nurturing each student as an individual to help them reach their full potential.

As an Educational Support Assistant, you will have a significant impact on guiding and motivating students towards their academic achievements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with educators to design and prepare educational materials and develop strategies for students who require additional support.
• Assist in organizing the classroom environment in preparation for lessons.
• Provide individualized or small group support to students needing extra assistance.
• Exhibit patience, compassion, understanding, positivity, and encouragement.

Qualifications:

• Enhanced DBS clearance, registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• EWC registration (or willingness to apply).
• Ability to provide two recent references that demonstrate your professional capabilities.
• Eligibility to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Completion of Safeguarding Level 2 training (offered at no cost by Teaching Personnel).

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of a permanent role becoming available later.
