Job Title: Director of MIS and Data Systems

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our corporate services function, encompassing Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Intelligence, Admissions, Exams, and Computer Services teams.

The Role

As the Director of MIS and Data Systems, you will be responsible for maintaining the student record database, providing reporting suites, and overseeing the Individual Learner Record (ILR), Admissions, Exams, Reception, and administration.

You will also have overall responsibility for the provision and development of all aspects of Information Technology (IT) across the college, including hardware, software, networks, and related systems, including IT for teaching, learning, and assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the corporate services function, including MIS, Business Intelligence, Admissions, Exams, and Computer Services teams
  • Maintain the student record database and provide reporting suites
  • Oversee the Individual Learner Record (ILR), Admissions, Exams, Reception, and administration
  • Develop and implement IT strategies to support teaching, learning, and assessment
  • Manage the provision and development of all aspects of IT across the college
Requirements
  • Education to degree level or relevant industry experience
  • Significant experience of Further Education funding and rules, and Individual Learner Record (ILR)
  • Experience of complex management information systems and corporate reporting
  • Effective communication, supervisory, and interpersonal skills to lead and work as part of a team
