About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at BYK Additives Ltd. (UK). As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety policies, procedures, and programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Manager to ensure the effective implementation of environmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system to ensure compliance with ISO 45001.
  • Provide support to the maintenance function in developing and managing internal Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) for all internal activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in health and safety management, with a degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
