Job Summary:
The role of the Geo-Environmental Engineer involves working primarily on housebuilder-related projects, with responsibilities split between site-based oversight of ground investigation works and office-based tasks such as report writing and providing consultancy advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting desk studies to inform site investigation strategies
- Leading site investigations to gather data on ground conditions
- Interpreting chemical and geotechnical data to inform project decisions
- Supervising site works to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Preparing conceptual site models and contamination risk assessments
- Developing site remediation strategies
- Writing technical and interpretative reports to communicate findings
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in IT systems and software
- Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and other consultants
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach
- Degree in geology or a related earth science discipline, or environmental science
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Geo-Environmental consultancy
- Drive and ambition to learn and grow in the role
- Full UK driving license
