Role Overview

Teaching Personnel is collaborating with a primary educational institution to recruit a dedicated SEN Support Assistant. Candidates should possess the ability to commute as required. Previous experience in care, support, or educational settings is preferred.

Position Details

In this role, you will provide tailored support to a specific pupil who has unique educational needs. The setting is a specialized class designed for young learners aged 4-5 years, all of whom have an Educational Health Care (EHC) plan. Your responsibilities will include adhering to the EHC plan and prioritizing the pupil's individual requirements. The environment may present challenging behaviors, so it is essential to manage high-pressure situations with composure and professionalism while focusing on the pupil's needs.


• Full-time position, Monday to Friday.


• Experience in care, support, or education is advantageous.


• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is required, or a willingness to obtain one.


• Must be able to commute as necessary.

All quoted pay rates include statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
