English Teacher Vacancy

We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to secondary students, promoting a love of learning and helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to the needs of secondary students
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school leaders to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Participate in school-related activities, such as performances and parent-teacher meetings
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all students

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Degree in a relevant field, such as English Language and Literature
  • Excellent classroom management skills and ability to engage students
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in the classroom
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet the needs of diverse learners
