We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Coding Auditor to join our team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Coding Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our coded clinical data.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out clinical coding audits for the trust, under the supervision of the Clinical Coding Operational Manager and as commissioned by the Head of Clinical Coding.
- Validate coded data, under the supervision of the Clinical Coding Operational Manager.
- Undertake targeted clinical coding audits for all specialties across the Trust and clinical coders within the department, ensuring that the coded clinical data conforms to the current National Clinical Coding Standards.
- Provide expert clinical coding advice to the coding team, clinicians, managers, and other staff.
- Advise on and assist in the implementation of any new guidance and ensure that all local policies are updated in line with national standards.
- National Clinical Coding Qualification
- Accredited Clinical Coding Auditor Qualification
- Minimum A'Level qualifications including Biology/Human Biology/PE or equivalent, or other relevant clinical coding experience
- Continued professional development, including Clinical Coding Standards Refresher Course within last 3 years
