About the Role

AESC UK is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our Engineering team in Sunderland. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting current production and the development of a world-class mass manufacturing Gigafactory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the engineering department in all aspects of the project, from initial phase to mass production.
  • Lead the development of a manufacturing zone, working within a multi-disciplined team.
  • Develop processes from design to integration and implementation, attending design reviews and working with equipment suppliers.
  • Set and measure process performance, agreeing quality strategies to achieve KPI and quality targets.
  • Provide and approve process engineering documentation necessary for standard operations.
  • Plan, schedule control, and project management, including procurement of production facilities and processes.
Requirements
  • Technical degree or certificate in a relevant field.
  • Good communication and report writing skills.
  • Computer literacy, including MS Project and Excel.
  • Able to demonstrate a positive and logical attitude.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Planning, schedule control, and project management skills.
  • The capacity to quickly learn and absorb new technologies.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in complex technical manufacturing processes and/or special purpose assembly machines.
  • Previous experience in high-volume manufacture, clean/dry room experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of current legislation on machinery standards.
  • Experience working within APQP, IAFT framework desirable.
