About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Band 7 Physiotherapist to support the rehabilitation service on Bentley and Runfold wards at Farnham hospital.

As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will work to provide rehabilitation for a wide range of orthopaedic, medical, and complex conditions. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating the physiotherapy service on the wards, working collaboratively with Occupational Therapists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake detailed assessments, documenting findings and demonstrating clinical reasoning skills.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and Trust and service standards and policies.
  • Communicate complex and sensitive information to patients, carers, and other staff, including imparting unwelcome news.
  • Maintain confidentiality and appreciate cultural and religious differences when agreeing treatment plans with patients.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with the Therapy manager and senior staff on all professional matters.
  • Participate in clinical audit as part of our compliance in clinical governance.
  • Manage potentially stressful, upsetting, or emotional situations in an empathetic manner and demonstrate resilience in challenging situations.
  • Work as part of the team to provide an efficient and effective service and demonstrate leadership with service development.
  • Supervise Band 5, 6, therapy assistants, and students, supporting their development and participating in the appraisal scheme as an appraiser and appraisee.
  • Participate in training for physiotherapy and the wider multidisciplinary team and ensure professional competence is maintained by participating in all CPD opportunities and maintaining a portfolio.
  • Participate in weekend working rota.
